Why Choose Stone Countertops?

More Durable

Natural stone countertops are strong and resistant to heat, chipping, and water. They do not get damaged like their wooden or Formica counterparts. So, choose stone countertops. The main reason our clients choose this type of countertops is the durability they offer.

Higher Resale Value

Properties that have stone countertops installed in their kitchens or baths are priced higher than similar properties without stone countertops.

Remodel your property
with stone countertops and get an instant increase in its worth and resale value!

My husband and I are thrilled with the major upgrade that these cabinets provided in our condo. We went from particle board 10 year old Ikea cabinets to high quality and spacious modern cabinets from Cabinet IQ. The quartz counter top is beautiful and easy to clean. The staff were helpful, easy to work with and as quality as the cabinets.

I was referred to Cabinets Plus USA by my broker, and have never regretted to select them on my kitchen upgrade project. Nick was super responsive and helpful on adjusting the design, and making suggestions, he got tons of experience. It took less than a week to manufacture the cabinets, and just a day to install. Great price, quick and quality install,. highly recommended!! one more thing, the countertop fabricator did a tremendous job, I had rather complected layout, and they made smart suggestions, on how to make it with one seam only. great job!! here are some before and after pics.

Cabinet IQ is a fantastic place to do business. Dave and the team were accommodating and informative from the first time I walked in their showroom. He also gave great guidance based on my scenario for my kitchen remodel. Pricing was also very fair. I was able to get my cabinets and counters in an acceptable time and their installers were punctual, polite, and clean. I am extremely satisfied and wish the rest of the trades I had to deal with for my remodel were this professional. Highly recommend doing business with Cabinet IQ!

I can’t say enough how amazing the installer Steve is. On top or being incredible sweet and kind, he stayed a my house until 10:30 at night making sure it was done so I could get my appliances installed the next day and to take my counter top measurements as soon as possible. My whole experience with them so far has been amazing!

I selected Cabinets Plus from a number of competitors based on the exceptional level of customer service I received from Dave and Nick, and fact that they are a local business that stand behind their work. Dave spend a good amount of time over multiple visits in helping us select the right Cabinet and countertop color, style, etc... He was great. The installers arrived on time, were very courteous, performed good work, and completed installation in one day. Dave stopped by to review progress and ensure I was satisfied with the workmanship. After installation, an installer noticed a drawer was not functioning properly and contacted Dave, who immediately ordered a replacement. Overall, I am very satisfied with the service I received from Dave and the staff at Cabinets Plus. Give them a call and you will find they are very knowledgeable, reasonably priced, and easy to work with. Thank You.

Hands down the best company around! From the customer service to the install and the cabinets and countertops themselves. Big shout out to Dave! The kitchen is absolutely beautiful. He worked with me to get the exact look I was going for and in my budget. Another huge shoutout to Jose! The attention to detail with his install and perfectionism was truly one of a kind. You don't see that often enough! We also did the bathroom vanity and countertop, STUNNING! We started off with quotes from several different companies and were trying to avoid using Home Depot or Lowes, as we were wanting the quality of custom cabinetry, which we found with Cabinets Plus! Solid wood cabinets at an amazing price! I HIGHLY recommend them! Michael the owner was also such a Gem! Great company, great people! Thank you so much! After my new kitchen and bathroom came out to perfection, I'm so looking forward to working with you in the future on my new venture of flipping houses! Ya'll are 1000% our cabinet guys! I will upload pics once I move in and the kitchen is styled 🙂 Can't wait!

Unfortunately, working with cabinets plus has been a huge headache from the start. Our contractor recommended them and we’ve been working with Nick. Despite ordering our cabinets and countertops and being promised everything would be installed by mid-August, here we are THREE weeks into September and our kitchen is still a mess and according to our contractor he can’t get any firm communication or date from Nick at cabinets plus when it will be finished. They incorrectly cut our stone for our island completely forgetting the overhang for the bar, they forgot key shelving elements we had discussed, trim pieces need to be reglued, crown molding that was in rendering wasn’t included and when asked, we were provided an option that looks completely different and we didn’t like it, measurements were supposed to align with current layout but cabinets were short on one run causing us additional expense to re-tile etc.... all in all these “issues” have yet to be resolved and the fact that we can’t get a confirmed date of when it will be fixed is unacceptable. We’ve had to change our move date 3 times because of these delays and having recently just had a baby this has been the worst experience I’ve ever had and will never recommend or work with cabinets plus again. Doubting at this point our kitchen will ever get fixed. UPDATE: The owner reached out shortly after this review and as of 10/3 the cabinets have been fixed and we are satisfied.

Had a quick guest bathroom countertop replaced. Sent a yelp request with what I wanted - not even all that specific, no picture. Got a quote within hours, people showed up to measure witting a couple of days and the removal of the old countertop was done within a week. They gave me a great neutral color just as I had described, they were quick and courtesans they followed up. Will use these folks again when we need them. Appreciate the good work and reasonable pricing.

Kitchen Countertops FAQs

There are questions often asked by clients that can usually be answered generally. We are happy to answer your project-specific questions directly. Please read the Kitchen Remodeling Getting Started Guide and Submit the Consultation Form to Talk About Your Project.

The most common types of kitchen countertop materials are granite, marble, quartz, and wood. Granite and Quartz have the reputation of being the hardest materials, ranking them among the most durable. Quartz is highly adaptable and available in many different colors. It is also scratch-resistant. Marble and wood have softer textures and offer a gentler feel.

Some of the most important factors to consider when choosing the kitchen countertop material are durability, cost, and appearance. The idea should be to try and achieve a balance among these factors – a material that fits your desired aesthetics, is durable enough for its intended purpose, and is cost-effective. For example, Quartz is more adaptable, heat- and scratch-resistant than granite, but is typically more expensive than granite. Granite is the hardest material, but can splinter just like wood. Wood offers a natural aesthetic feel, but requires more maintenance and care.

Each of these materials comes with its own pros and cons. In the end, it boils down to your needs, preferences, and budget size.

It’s important to use the right cleaning products for your kitchen countertops so they stay looking their best. You should never scrub or wipe them with anything that is tough, like bleach. Instead, use something gentle like dish soap and damp cloths (or sponges). Avoid using household cleaners that contain acids, alkalis, and other chemicals, as their harshness may degrade the sealer on your countertop.

Sealers function as protection from staining and bacteria for your countertop, and should be regularly applied as advised by your countertop professional.

The nature of your activities on these countertops also determines how long they will last. For instance, always make sure you use cutting boards and hot pads or trivets to protect any countertop surface from scratches and heat.

There are a few potential risks associated with certain types of kitchen countertops Austin remodeling companies offer. Natural products such as wood and stone, for instance, are relatively safe to use, however, they are porous and may harbor bacteria when not properly sealed. Some countertop materials have chemicals and carcinogens that can be harmful to humans after extended exposure to them.

The price of stone countertops can vary depending on factors such as where it is sourced, the rarity of the stone or specific colors, and how much effort goes into extraction.

An important part of the kitchen countertop installation process is to make sure you hire a professional. We do not recommend installing a countertop yourself. You could end up doing more harm than good, especially if you’re not experienced with construction work. Some kitchen countertop manufacturers in Austin require that installation be carried out by certified field technicians in order for the countertop to be covered by a warranty
